We took the Inspirations for Youth and Families teen girls for an entertaining day of paintball. If you think paintball is just for boys, you are wrong. The teen girls in our drug and alcohol rehab displayed team work and strategy while taking part in four games on various courses at the Extreme Paintball recreational park.

“When we take the teens on field trips like paintball or deep-sea fishing, this is defined as recreational therapy,” said Karen Corcoran-Walsh, founder and owner of Inspirations for Youth and Families. “Part of the teen’s recovery involves getting out in the real world and having fun without drinking alcohol or doing drugs.”
Extreme Rage Paintball Park is rated number one in the entire South Florida Area. They have been around for over 20 years in the paintball industry. The wooded area course – where the girls played – consists of real-like hills, tunnels, sniper towers, machine gun bunkers, and even little huts to simulate a village. Extreme Rage also has a five bedroom house to resemble close combat quarters. This field is perfect for recreational players like the teen girls at Inspirations, who were able to experience the adrenaline flowing as they played in fast pace games
just like the pros.
“We have all types of groups that come to our park from birthday parties to corporate team building,”
said Alberto Carbajal, owner of Extreme Rage Paintball Park.
“But seeing these kids who are battling drug and alcohol abuse every day of their life have some wholesome fun for a few hours is really heartwarming for me to see.”
Next up will be the Inspirations teen boy’s who will also be visiting and participating in paintball at Extreme Rage Paintball Park.
